Toyota

 How did it all start:

Toyota is the biggest and most well known car manufacturer out their. But how did this mega company start, and how did it rise to be what it is today? Well Toyota's story all started in 1937 Aichi, Japan. The founder Kiichiro Toyoda started his automotive career after the Japanese government pushed him to develop automobiles as the nation had began to enter war with China. But besides the controversial beginnings, Toyota started with Toyoda Model AA which sold 1,404 units. This lineup helped push and drive Toyota to continue in the automotive industry. 


What Toyota is today:

Toyota today is now the biggest automotive company out there. In fact it's worth an incredible and unbelievable $250.64 billion as of 2023. But what does toyota offer to its customers? Well, they currently offer a wide array and variety of vehicles from compact sedans to sporty coupes and even the world's most popular SUV, the RAV 4.

The name and logo:

The Toyota logo might look like a mess, and it does. But what really is it? If you notice the image below you can see the shape is a combination of each letter in the name. How creative!


Fun fact:

The world's most popular car is the Toyota Corolla with 1.12 million units sold in 2022 alone!

The Lexus brand is marketed in more than 90 countries and territories worldwide and is Japan's largest-selling make of premium cars. Operational centers are located in Brussels, Belgium, and Plano, Texas, United States. Porsche

  How did it all start: Ferdinand Porsche was the guy who founded the company that was called "Dr. Ing. h. c. F. Porsche GmbH"(which later turned into the name "Porsche") with Adolf Rosenberger and Anton Piëch in 1931. The main office was at Kronenstraße city, Germany specifically in Berlin. Initially, the company offered motor vehicle development work and consulting,( but did not build any cars under its own name). One of the first assignments the new company received was from the German government to design a car for the people; that is, a Volkswagen. This resulted in the Volkswagen Beetle, one of the most successful car designs ever. In the world war II: Porsche produced several designs for heavy tanks during the war, losing out to Henschel & Son in both contracts that ultimately led to the "Tiger" I and the "Tiger II".
