Mercedes

How did it all start:

Mercedes is a well known luxury car brand founded back in 1926 by Karl Benz. It started with the one and only Benz Patent-Motorwagen(world's first car). This all took place back in Stuttgart, Germany. Initially karl benz started his first production car lineup with the Mercedes 35 PS in the year of 1901. But the Mercedes company that we know today started its first lineup with the Mercedes-Benz 170 V. This model happened to be quite a successful one with 83,190 units being built. This success drove the Mercedes company to continue manufacturing automobiles.

What Mercedes is today:

Mercedes today offers a wide lineup of vehicles from small hatchbacks like the A-Class to off roading Suvs such as the G-Wagon, and even some of the world's most famous and well known coach busses like the Tourismo. In fact Mercedes is one of the biggest car manufacturers it's worth a whopping €61.96 billion, and builds 2,043,900 cars per year!

The name and logo:

The Mercedes logo is one of the most recognisable logos out there. The three pointed star comes from their commitment to universal notarization, which we can definitely see today. But in terms of the name, "Mercedes" was named after the daughter of Emil Jellinek who was a man that helped create one of the first Mercedes automobiles.

Fun fact:

In the year of 2020, Mercedes spent $291 million on their f1 racing alone!

Porsche GmbH"(which later turned into the name "Porsche") with Adolf Rosenberger and Anton Piëch in 1931. The main office was at Kronenstraße city, Germany specifically in Berlin. Initially, the company offered motor vehicle development work and consulting,( but did not build any cars under its own name).
