Tesla is a multinational clean energy car company originating from the United States. Tesla was established in July 2003 by Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning as Tesla Motors, later on in February 2004, via a $6.5 million investment, Elon Musk became the company's largest shareholder before he became CEO of Tesla Motors in the year of 2008. Tesla began production of its first car model, the Roadster sports car that year. Followed by the Model S sedan in 2012, the Model X SUV in 2015, the Model 3 sedan in 2017, and finally the Model Y crossover in 2020. The company also has future plans for diversifying their production of cars by adding the Cyber Truck (light-duty pickup truck) to their fleet in 2023. Although the Model 3 is the all-time bestselling plug-in electric car worldwide, and in June 2021 it became the first electric car to have 1 million units manufactured.


Most popular/common tesla models in the UAE:

Tesla Model X, Tesla Model Y, and the Tesla Model 3. These happen to be the 3 most popular models in the U.A.E and are seen quite frequently out on the roads, so maybe consider these first before looking at any other models.


An interesting fact about Tesla:

The company's name is a tribute to the inventor and electrical engineer, Nikola Tesla.
