  How did it all start: Ferdinand Porsche was the guy who founded the company that was called "Dr. Ing. h. c. F. Porsche GmbH"(which later turned into the name "Porsche") with Adolf Rosenberger and Anton Piëch in 1931. The main office was at Kronenstraße city, Germany specifically in Berlin. Initially, the company offered motor vehicle development work and consulting,( but did not build any cars under its own name). One of the first assignments the new company received was from the German government to design a car for the people; that is, a Volkswagen. This resulted in the Volkswagen Beetle, one of the most successful car designs ever.   Tesla Tesla is a multinational clean energy car company originating from the United States. Tesla was established in July 2003 by Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning as Tesla Motors , later on in February 2004, via a $6.5 million investment, Elon Musk became the company's largest shareholder before he became CEO of Tesla Motors in the year of 2008 . Tesla began production of its first car model, the Roadster sports car that year. Followed by the Model S sedan in 2012, the Model X SUV in 2015, the Model 3 sedan in 2017, and finally the Model Y crossover in 2020. The company also has future plans for diversifying their production of cars by adding the Cyber Truck (light-duty pickup truck) to their fleet in 2023. Although the Model 3 is the all-time bestselling plug-in electric car worldwide, and in June 2021 it became the first electric car to have 1 million units manufactured.
